What is Soo Bahk Do
Soo Bahk Do, which roughly means the way of the hand and foot, is the oldest forms of martial arts in Korean culture. The art takes influences from Okinawan Karate and Northern and Southern styles of Kung Fu. Soo Bahk Do, as we know it today, was founded in 1945 by Kwang Jang Nim Hwang Kee and is currently lead by his son Kwan Jang Nim Hyun Chul Hwang. Through it’s use of natural movements, contractions and expansions, and emphasis on hip movement Soo Bahk Do is one of the most effect martial arts.
